Everyone else makes them so why not me.
STK has one of the longest histories in eve and most colorful if some what behind the scenes.
We we're there when the curse alliance formed and despite what a blurred history may say we left as we suffered from the to many bugs im quiting eve syndrome that happened years ago when eve barely reached 5k players peek. We left and joined xetic as xetic gave us resources to help rebuild STK.
Xetic itself was...interesting to say the least.
ASCN came about from the die ashes of xetic and corps who we're more worthy to join ascn we're invited along.
All that, is of course, another history lesson.
Today we leave ASCN proudly knowing that we faught well and quite frankly we had a good time.
We have planned for our future and it is bright as ever.
Our plans now reflect eve, we do not leave this war bitter or angry but with a realization that eve is won with might above all else. We have learnt that lesson and plan to be that tool. We now have enemies but that is just an exscuse to fight, without constant warfare one becomes weak and sloppy.
To the people we choose as enemies in the future we do not do it out of spite but rather out of its what eve is and it is fun. We will earn our place as a well known pvp corp backed by massive industrial support.
to the future....

As I've said before, ASCN may be dead, but its corporations live on.
Good luck, STK, wherever you go.

Edited by: Aquemini Amarr on 01/01/2007 04:10:41 Happy new year everyone!
Fresh start for STK and a return to enjoying the game hopefully. To BoB, all the **** about haxpolits was stupid, and you won (mostly) fair and square. To ASCN, leaving behind some awesome peeps, was an honour to be in the same alliance as Cmdr Foxbat and Vipeer and all the other folks who were on the frontlines.
I give permission for Sku1ly and Helen to talk from now.
EDIT: Damn Cass, your forum *****age powers never fail to amaze me!

DS was quicker on the draw.
Well played BoB and you have my up most respect. Learned how a proper 0.0 war should be fought from start-to-finish. One just canĘt get that kind of experience from watching the fight from the other side of the galaxy.
PS: BoB Covert pilots where just amazing during this conflict.

GL STK, from, the days that Xetic pressured you to use your T2 BPOs to produce cheap modules for the alliance, to the days where you took an interesting turn in this war and attacked us in fountain. I have always thought that STK had a special place in EVE and I hope you find a new home soonÖ.
Im drunk so I hope this made sense, it sure took about 10 mins to write!

Edited by: Lucre on 01/01/2007 11:20:12 A new year, a new beginning.
It's interesting that Alliances come and go, but Corps go on and on. 3+ years and three failed Alliances (!) behind us now, and yet I don't think STK has been stronger or in better spirits in ages. Our people had a blast in Fountain (oh and do please keep up the tinfoil hattery above that operation being a cover for Feyth evacuation, we still find that highly entertaining, especially those of us who know just how late in the day the T2 bpo's really were unlocked and spirited out of EPR0S!) and if anything we leave this war poorer in Outposts (and POS refuelling needs - hurrah!) but much richer in enthusiasm and FREEDOM!
What does the future hold for STK? Well, no disrespect to those who've enquired, but I think we've had enough of Alliances for a while! Industrially as Tem says we remain extremely powerful, both in T2 and in capital shipbuilding [please evemail AnAngel for your freighter, carrier or dreadnought build enquiries!]. Which gives us an enviable financial and logistic foundation to now work on leveraging into a correspondingly powerful and versatile combat potential. And into having some fun!
To ASCN, what we built was something special and I wonder if Eve will ever again see its like - it was an honour to be part of it and our Outposts stand to mark that. And AZN will always be our Station, whoever's flag flies over it. (And someday, we dream that flag will be STK's again - but if so it'll be because we've earned back it the hard way!)
To BoB, congratulations on a well if not always nicely fought campaign - respect for your abilities, if frequently not your attitude (whether actual or portrayed). Don't expect to be blue anytime soon, and the same goes for your "pets" - but then I'd hope you wouldn't expect or desire anything else of us!
And to the rest of the Universe - well, I expect there'll be a few friends and enemies we'll keep for old times sake, but otherwise most standings will probably be reset by design or default. Though open to renegotiation, even with those we may have counted historical foes. See you in space - or on the markets!
To STK! And a Happy New Year!
- It's great not being ASCN any more, aint it? |
